St. Johns River Escape

The "Memory Maker" is a Private Houseboat River Rental you Captain yourself. Although the "Memory Maker" is Easy to Operate, Training will be Provided to You Prior to Embarking on Your Journey to Ensure you Know how to Operate Her and are Comfortable with the Calm Waters of which you are to Navigate.

River Escape will Acquaint you with the Vessel & Waters and Diagram a Basic Chart and Float Plan with You Ensuring a Trip that is Customized to Your Individual Desires. Additionally, a VHF Radio will help Keep you in contact with River Escape Base Station of which we have a Speedboat ready to Deploy to you at All Times. Of course, the Coast Guard also Monitors the Marine Radio for Emergencies as well. It is Recommended that You also Bring Your Personal Cell Phone.

Here is a possible agenda for your trip to consider. First you can go to Historic Sanford and visit the many antique shops and eateries in downtown Sanford for Lunch. About 4 hours upstream, you can stop for dinner at the Swamp House Grill which is a popular restaurant.

From there you can head just a little more North and set anchor in a Lagoon right next to Blue Spring and enjoy the numerous manatees that frequent the park while also bathing in the pristine Spring water right along side of them. The Park has picnic tables and a nice board walk, you can spend the day there and camp another night if you like.

Heading out once again North you will be viewing deep tropical forests of Florida that are as close as you can get to stepping back in time. Nature really puts on a show! Finally, you can land at Silver Glenn Springs where you can literally camp right over the spring and stay until you are ready for your return trip.
